Hey girl, hey!

My name's Nicole Gonzalez. I'm an entrepreneur, content creator and event producer with a love for all things biz.

Let's take it back to 2015 -- I'm finishing up my degree in Event Management and Marketing, while running a mini photography biz on the side, when I realized graduation was literally around the corner and I was going to have to figure things out and quick. All my friends were putting together their resumes and sending them out, hoping to get a job secured by the time they graduated and I was just there like, "I wonder if instead of getting hired somewhere, I could just start my own business..." I mean, I was technically already running a biz on the side, so why not take it on full time and be my own boss?"

I didn't really know what I was going to do, whether I'd continue running a photography biz or start something completely different, but I knew one thing... Being an entrepreneur was in my DNA. I was going to figure it out. I had to find a way to make it on my own, and that's exactly what I did. After a few failed attempts, losing people I thought were friends, and losing tons of money, I realized surrounding myself with like-minded women and power-house entrepreneurs was really what I yearned for and desperately needed.

Being an entrepreneur is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things I've ever taken on, but let's be real... Sometimes, it's really hard finding like-minded people who are genuine and really get you. When I first started, I didn't know anyone my age who owned their own business or was thinking of venturing out on their own, so finding a community of women who could not only relate to me, but understood me, was extremely challenging. I remember thinking to myself -- there has to be other women out there feeling the exact same way. So one day, sitting at my kitchen table while drinking coffee with my mom, it hit me...

I needed to create a space where me and other like-minded creatives and business babes could connect, be each other's support system, find ways to collaborate in biz, and grow together.

I launched PROJECT NM from my cozy couch and created an account over on Instagram where I shared motivation and inspiration for the girl who wanted to live life on her terms, decided to put together my first meetup event in the cutest coffee shop in Wynwood back in December of 2015, and here I am now. One hella passionate entrepreneur whose mission is to inspire and connect like-minded creatives one #bizbabe meetup at a time.
